Objective
1. Invigorate potential hires to work at the water company.
2. Cultivate upcoming graduates’ interest in essential utility careers.
Process
With the above objectives in mind and a $10,000 budget, the PR and HR teams developed an internship program, organized events and speaking occasions at schools and other educational programs for additional career interest and created a variety of marketing collateral to generate impressions in the immediate downtown Greenville area. The collateral included four billboards strategically placed closest to downtown and highway entries, posters, bus stop advertising, company vehicle bumper stickers, and rack cards to readily hand out at events with details about Greenville Water’s benefits and a QR code to access the Careers page immediately.
Results
As a result of these efforts, college internships with Greenville Water tripled, hiring grew by --% and retention also grew by -%.
This initiative, in collaboration with Greenville Water's Public Relations and Human Resources departments, aims to reach local job-seekers and Spanish-speakers through buses, bus stops, downtown billboards, posters, rack cards, bumper stickers, a website landing page, and social media, committing to promoting workplace diversity and excellence.
